Sherry Pauline McCoy, age 75, of Bland passed away on March 25, 2021.
She was born on July 11, 1945 in Marshall, a daughter to the late Paul and Mary (Overley) Ross.
Sherry was a 1963 graduate of Marshall High School. She spent her later years living in Hermitage, before taking her final residence in Bland.
During Sherry’s early career she was a secretary, and owned her own children’s clothing store, The Gingerbread House in Marshall. She also provided in home daycare services throughout the years and served as a homemaker.
Sherry was very active in the lives of her children, and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, cooking, and holding on tight to those sacred family recipes. Some may even say her broccoli rice casserole was the best ever made. She was a generous, kind women and was always willing to provide a listening ear for those in need of comfort. However, her greatest love was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sherry is survived by: three sons, Kelly Schroeder and his wife Marcie of Belle, Brian Schroeder and his wife Gretchen of Bland, and Toby McCoy and his wife Kathy of Belle; fourteen grandchildren, Britani Struemph, Tanner Schroeder, Logan Schroeder, Hunter Schroeder, Kyli Schroeder, Parker Stockton, Aspyn Schroeder, Loudyn Schroeder, Easton Schroeder, Austin McCoy, Dominic McCoy, Alyssa McCoy, Cole Iten, and Cale Iten; Nine great-grandchildren, Kelhen, Kandyn, Bryer, Brayden, Baby Zayne, Lyla, Baby Wade, Amelia, Avery; two sisters, Barbara Henkemeyer of Belton, Robyn Tanner of Ozark; one brother Frank Ross and his wife Wendy of Webster Groves as well as many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Jerry Henkemeyer.
A Memorial Visitation for Sherry will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland.
