Brenda Fay Cox, age 71, of St. Louis and formerly of Belle passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at St Louis University Hospital.
She was born March 26, 1949, in Belle, a daughter to the late Rafe and Alice (Rogers) Cox.
Brenda attended Belle Grade School before her family moved to St. Louis where she attended Maplewood High School.
Benda enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting, eating popcorn, and watching classic movies on TCM. She loved older country music, doing family genealogy, and taking pictures of places she had been but her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. Brenda will be missed greatly by her family and all that knew and loved her.
Brenda is survived by one daughter, Sarae Glaenzer and her husband Mark of St. Louis; two sons, Larry Tinnell, Jr and his wife Leslie of Barnhart and Gene Tinnell of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Tiffany Breitenfeld, Kimberly Hagan, Joshua Wright, Ashley Tinnell, Angel Fitzwater, and Alyssa Suter; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lonnie Cox of St. Louis and Calvin Cox of Chamois; and one sister, Norma Dean Woods of Chamois as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by one infant brother, Joseph and two sisters, Erma Jean Lucas and Lorana Kay Scott.
Visitation for Brenda will at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with a memorial service at. Burial of the cremains will be in Liberty Cemetery.
