Bobby Ray Cook, age 76, of Licking, and formerly of Belle passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his residence.

Bobby was born March 19, 1944 in Belle, a son to the late George and Dorothy (Walker) Cook.

Bobby attended the Little Dixie School near Belle as a child. He was a member of the Duke Community Lighthouse Assembly of God.

On August 11, 1963 Bobby was united in marriage to Carol Sue Hayes. Sue preceded him in death on March 27, 1980.

Bobby had been a self-employed Farrier for most of his life and shod horses at Boys Town in St. James for many years. He also worked at Kingsford, Purina, and as a Vet assistant for a time. Bobby loved being on and around horses and went on many trail rides with his wife Sue. He also enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, and mowing his grass. Bobby had the gift of gab and had never met a stranger. He was easy going, was always in a good mood, and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bobby will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.

Bobby is survived by: two daughters, Lori Bentlage and her husband Robbie of Belle and Bobby Manion and her significant other, Toby Backues of Licking; his girlfriend, Audrey Hake of Licking; four grandchildren, Casey Bentlage and her significant other Travis Maxwell, Tanner Bentlage, Cody Manion and his wife Christine, and Caleb Manion; three great-grandchildren, Brogan Maxwell, Nattilee Manion, and Daxton Bentlage; three brothers, Billy Cook of Belle, Roger Cook of Alton, and Greg Cook of Belle; three sisters, Cora Steen of Belle, Barbara Hollandsworth of Bland, and Brenda Martin of Belle as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents and his wife Sue, Bobby was preceded in death by one grandchild, Trevor Bentlage; three siblings, Gene Cook, Delmar Cook, and Verlee Berry; two sisters-in-law, Sandy Cook and Sharron Cook; and one brother-in-law, Chester Steen.     

Memorial services for Bobby will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Skaggs Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m.
