Wilma Marlene Perry, age 78, of Owensville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her residence.

Marlene was born on February 15, 1936, in Canaan, a daughter to the late Earl Joseph and Opal Cleo (Jett) Kinkead.

Marlene attended school in Bland and proudly graduated in 1953. On February 6, 1960, Marlene was united in marriage to John A. Perry at the First Baptist Church in Bland. John survives of the home in Owensville.

Marlene and John moved to the area from Florida and have been residents since 1998. Marlene did hold several part time jobs during her life but most of her time was spent as a house wife and raising her two children. She liked helping people and throughout her life, cared for many who were sick or dying. She liked to cook and entertain for her friends and family and was known as quite the host. Marlene liked music, especially the Gaither's and long day rides with John. Her greatest joy was time spent visiting with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, Marlene is survived by one son, John Tyler Perry of St. Louis; one daughter, Tori Nadler and her husband Stephen of Owensville; two grandchildren, Ryan Adam Nadler and his friend Julia and Thad Perry Nadler and his fiancAC. Sarah Stiehr;one sister, Pauline Hicks and her husband Dwayne of Union; two nieces, Sonia Danback and Shelia Zwilling as well as many extended family members and friends. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Kinkead and one nephew, Kirk Hicks.

A visitation for Marlene will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Sassmann's Chapel in Bland. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Bickell officiating.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Helping Hands Outreach Center, 604 South 2nd Street, Owensville, MO 65066
