Wanda Joyce Bearhorst died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at her home in Belle. She was 78. Wanda was affectionately called Joyce by her family and friends. She was born July 28, 1931, in Popular Bluff to Willie and Dora Kirkman Trostel. Joyce was married to Charlie Bearhorst. They moved to Belle in 1985.
Surviving Joyce is her son Dick Gregory with his wife Terri of St. Louis, daughter Marilyn Hemming with her husband James of O'Fallon, and daughter Glenda Rector with her husband Doug of Belle. Also surviving are two brothers Dewey Trostel with his wife Janet of Eufreda, Washington, and Wayne Trostel of Belle, and two sisters Hazel Mann of Belle and Mary Becklin with her husband Gil of Belle. There are six grand children, five great grand children, and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Charlie, a daughter Vickie McCormack, and a grandson Chuck Dye. Also preceding Joyce are three sisters Aldina Stromatt, Glenda Kemp and Flora Novak and a brother Gene Trostel.
