In addition to working on the family farm all his life, Walter had been employed at the International Shoe factory for 19 years and at the Belle post office for 25 years. Walter loved farm life and continued to work the farm and raise cattle until 2020.
Walter like to hunt and fish and took several trips to Canada to catch Trout and Walleye. He enjoyed reading Louis L’Amour books, listening to older country music, as well as listening to the family jam sessions that took place. He took joy in sitting on his porch and visiting with family and friends and aggravating his nieces and nephews.
