Vera (Picker) Dreysse

Vera (Picker) Dreysse, age 92, of Prattville, Alabama, formerly of Summerfield, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at Crowne Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Montgomery, Alabama.

Vera was born October 26, 1921, in Summerfield, Mo., a daughter to the late Bennie John and Ethel Arwilda (Clark) Picker.

On September 13, 1941, Vera was united in marriage to Harold "Red" A. Dreysse in Belle. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1992.

Vera was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a very outgoing person, who never met a stranger

Vera is survived by: one brother, Glen Picker of Elkton, Maryland; one sister Lucetria Hutchison of Prattville, Alabama, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Orville and George "Jack" Picker.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Sassmann's Chapel in Belle with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with her nephew Jonnie Hutchison officiating.

Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
