Ronnie " Connie Rocks" Cox

Ronnie Martin Cox May 10, 1959 – September 28, 2026 Ronnie Martin Cox, known by many as “Connie Rocks,” of Belle, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, at the age of 67 surrounded by his family.

Ronnie was a man who never needed much for himself. He was a giver by nature, always willing to help, always willing to give, and always putting the people he loved before himself. He had one of the biggest hearts anyone could ask for, and those who knew him will remember his kindness, his strength, his humor, and the love he gave so freely.

Ronnie was married to Kathy Lynn Cox (Sadler), for 47 years. Together they built a life filled with family, memories, and love. He was the proud father of his only daughter, Heather Drewel. (Who was a Daddys girl no doubt). One of Ronnie’s greatest joys in life was being a Papa. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment he got to spend with them.

His grandbabies held a very special place in his heart, and his love for them will live on through every memory they carry with them. Ronnie worked for Kingsford for 35 years before retiring. Outside of work, he enjoyed the things that made him happiest; hunting, being on the river, riding his Harley, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He also loved the freedom of the open road, the peace of the river, and the memories made with the people he loved. Ronnie was the kind of man whose presence made a difference. He gave without expecting anything in return, loved fiercely, and left pieces of his heart with so many people. Though his family wishes they could have had more time with him, they are grateful for every laugh, every story, every ride, every day on the river, and every precious memory he gave them.

He adored his daughter Heather Drewel and her spouse Cody Drewel. Ronnie loved Cody like his own son. Cody would be the first person he would ask about. What is Cody doing, where is Cody at. For his birthday this year all he wanted was to ride in Cody and Heathers car “Yellanor” and Cody made that happen for him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathy Cox; his daughter, Heather Drewel, and son-in-law, Cody Drewel; his grandchildren, Alexis Fisher, Hilah Drewel, Cadence Burke, and Tara Webster, great-grandchildren, his great-grandchildren Remi and Mila. whom he loved beyond words and another great-grandchild, Kodi, on the way. His sisters Monica Valley (Charlie Valley), Vicki Caswell, and Bev Murphy; Wesley Cox (Tina); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to know him.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alice Cox; his brothers, John Cox, Lyndon Cox, and Erwin Cox; and his son, Travis and great Aunt Genieve

Ronnie may no longer be able to ride his Harley, take his boat out on the river, or go hunting, but he leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry his love with them

Visitation for Ronnie will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Sassmanns Chapel with a funeral service following.
