Ronald “Ron” D. Ridenhour, age 80, of Belle, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his residence.
Ron was born March 14, 1943, a son to the late Clifford and Violet (Adelhardt) Ridenhour.
Ron was a lifelong area resident and a 1961 graduate of Belle High School. Following high school, Ron proudly served his country in the United States Marines.
Ron retired from the Department of Corrections in Jefferson City after over 20 years of employment.
Ron was united in marriage to Daisy M. Harp on June 19, 1965. Daisy preceded him in death on July 6, 2006.
Ron enjoyed being outdoors fishing, boating, mowing and keeping the hummingbird feeders full. He liked listening to bluegrass and country music and watching NASCAR and RFDTV. Ron was a good-hearted man who enjoyed helping others in need. His greatest joy, however, came from time spent with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.
Ron is survived by: two sons, Heath Ridenhour and his wife Milly of Belle and Cliff Ridenhour of Belle: one daughter, Davena Ryan and her husband Greg of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Denny Ridenhour and his wife Jill of Belle; one sister, Nola Tyree and her husband Gary of Jefferson City; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie Ridenhour of Rolla as well as many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by one grandchild, Cynthia Ridenhour and a brother, Tom Ridenhour.
