Roger G. Durbin, age 80, of Bland, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Britt Tinnin Manor in Ellington, MO.
He was born on August 16, 1945, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Bernice Durbin. John Durbin helped Bernice raise Roger as his own son.
Roger enjoyed wheeling and dealing to make a living. Always on the go, he made trades with many people through the years and auctioned for most his life. Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger and was a lifelong area resident.
Roger is survived by: his children, Rita Trainor of Bland, Rodney Durbin and his wife Ginger of Belle Karen Littrell and her husband Bill of Cleavesville, and Carl Howard and his significant other Bonnie of Lamar, CO; 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Jody, Trevor, Daylene, Shayla, Chase, Tonya, and Curtis; numerous great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Cindy Lee and her husband Tony of Eldon and Sherrie Heaper and her husband Rodney of Sweet Springs, MO as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a daughter Carla Durbin and a brother Junior Bishop.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced by Sassmann’s Chapel.
