Raymond LaVern Branson

Raymond LaVern Branson of Belle died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in his home on the Gasconade River. Raymond was born on January 16, 1929, in Bland. He is the son of the late Alfred and Thelma Branson. On February 18, 1956, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Virginia Miller and to this union three children were born.
Surviving Raymond are two daughters Sherri Stubblefield and Linda Branson, a son Mike Branson, and son in law Ronald Stubblefield. Also surviving are two brothers Clyde and Everett and a sister Thelma Mae Branson. There are seven grand children Eric Branson and fiancAC.' Jessica, Danielle O'Hara, Shelby Keolling and husband Scott, Brandy Branson, Michael Preston Branson and wife Rachel, Ashley Stubblefield and fiancAC.' Aaron, and Shawn Stubblefield, nine great grand children Sierra, Alexis, Callie, Michelle, Caleb, Cason, Cami, Payton, and Erica and one great grand daughter due in January.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia, a brother Alfred Branson and a grand daughter Mallory Branson.
Raymond graduated from the Bland High School. After high school he was inducted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was married in 1956, worked and retired from the maintenance department for Chrysler Corporation. For several years he lived in Champion City. In 1996 he moved his family to a home on the Gasconade River. He was a member of the Koenig Methodist Church.
