Mary H. Gehlert passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Mary was born on May 1, 1939, as one of twelve children to Walter and Anna Dautenhahn.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Connie. Also, preceding her death were her parents; two brothers, Walt and Dave Dautenhahn; and one sister, Anna Rila. She is survived by five brothers: Tim Dautenhahn; Tom Dautenhahn with his wife Rosemary; John Dautenhahn with his wife Sue; Fred Dautenhahn with his wife Toni; and Jim Dautenhahn with his wife Charlene. She is also survived by three sisters: Johanna Eichelberger with her husband Wayne; Naomi Johnson; and Helen Griffith with her husband Gary.

Mary was the mother of five sons: Tim with his wife Debbie; Andy with his wife Felicia; John with his wife Allis; Richard with his wife Cheri; and Butch with his wife Christie.

She was a proud grandmother to Mandy Seaver with her husband Josh and their children Jeb and Adison; Adam Gehlert with his wife Amber and their children Natalie, Garrett, Riley, and Reagan; Abbie Kinkaid with her husband Brett and their children Landrie, Jack, and Finley; Amie Gehlert; Ben Gehlert and his fiancAC. Randi Bloemke; Bryce Gehlert; Zach Gehlert; Tori Gehlert; Tucker Gehlert; Nick Gehlert; Isaiah Gehlert; Kolton Clark; Lacey Clark; Thatcher Gehlert; and Jesse Gehlert.

Mary was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening (the best pickles and donuts); the company of family and friends; Cardinals baseball (especially Yadi); and listening to music played by her family. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Belle.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Belle with Rev. James Rhiver officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery.
