Marilyn L. Michel

Marilyn Louise (Arns) Michel, child #4 of #11 born to John and Shirley Arns, gained her wings to join her mom and dad, in heaven along with her siblings John Arns, Kathy Arns, Michelle Williams, and Cheryl Holmes.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 40 years Sam Michel; son Dwayne (Carrie) Gruper; step children Leah and Jason Michel; 4 grandchildren, Kristen, Sarah, and Michael Gruper, and Kaitlyn Weber; siblings Paul (Kathy) Arns, Nancy Tisius, Patti (John) Bell, Chris (Laurie) Arns, Dean (Betty) Arns, Terri (David) Williams as well as many extended family members and friends.

Marilyn was loved by many including her 65 nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Marilyn has been sick for a very long time. Before becoming ill, Marilyn loved caring for her mom and taking vacations. Marilyn loved living the simple country lifestyle and sounds of locomotive trains.

Visitation for Marilyn will be on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with interment in the Leduc cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
