Louise Ruth Evelyn Oshia of Sullivan, formerly of Bland, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the age of 88. Louise was born on February 2, 1924, in Osage County. She is last of seven children born to the late Chris and Dora Doyel Lange.
On December 20, 1941, Louise was married to James Arthur Jannick and to this union two daughters were born. Louise worked at International Shoe company until the early 70's when they moved to Sullivan and Art took a job at the mines. Art died in 1989 after a long illness.
Surviving Louise are her two daughters Shelba with her husband Bill and their children Contessa Ridenhour, Valery Wright, and Jim, Barry, and Jason Krause and Dianne Sue Holzschuh with her husband Paul and their daughters Paula Land and Pamela Larson. There are 17 grand children and 3 great grand children.
On June 28, 1992, Lousie was married to James Oshia. He survives Louise. Louise's family grew to include six more children Tina Witt with her husband Mark, Pam Schmidt with her husband Ron, Diane Williams with her husband Alvy, Kevin Oshia, Candy Hatlan with her husband Jack, and Greg Oshia. She also added to her family
12 more grand children and 17 great grand children.
Louise is preceded in death by her only brother Victor Lange and five sisters Minnie Kaeding, Ida Hackler, Freda Bacon, Lydia Roesner, and Emma Roehl.
Services for Louise were held on December 20, 2012 from Zion Evangelical Church in Bland. Interment was in Bland Union Cemetery.
