Lorene M. Terrill Martin

Lorene M. Terrill Martin, age 96, formerly of Belle, passed away November 13, 2017 in Cumming, GA.

Lorene was born February 7, 1921, a daughter to the late Marvin and Myrtle (Matlock) Lorts.

In 1942, Lorene was united in marriage to Earl C. Terrill who passed away September 10, 1974. In 1992, she married Terry Martin, who had been Earl’s best man at their wedding. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Lorene’s hobbies included reading, gardening, knitting, shopping, and watching t.v. Her favorite show was 60 minutes and she looked forward to watching it every week. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Lorene is survived by: three daughters, Sheri McElroy of Cumming, GA., Keri Lilly of White, GA., and Merri Adsit and her husband Joe of Cumming, GA.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Lorts of Virginia Beach, VA as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Lorene was preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie, Odell, and Larry Lorts; one sister, Judy Lawrence; and two son-in-law’s, Ron McElroy and Ron Lilly. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Countryside Memorial Gardens near Owensville.
