In Loving Memory of Linda Lou Doss May 5, 1948 – September 14, 2025 Linda Lou Doss, 77, of Belle, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, surrounded by the loved ones of her family. 

Born on May 5, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, to Lina Daubert. Linda’s life was a beautiful blend of kindness, humor, and an unshakable honesty that endeared her to everyone she met. She had a quick wit, a love for laughter, and a gift for making even ordinary moments feel like treasured memories. 

On February 18, 1963, Linda married the love of her life, Willis Doss Sr. Together, they built a marriage of 62 years filled with devotion, laughter, and shared adventures. In her youth, Linda known as Linda Lee, voice carried the heart of country music, singing on the Georgie Brown Show with talents such as Porter Wagner, Carl Smith, Tex Ritter and she continued performing with a local band and filling her home with music.

 Linda’s life was rich with passions tending to her vibrant flower beds to welcome hummingbirds, enjoying the companionship of her beloved Chihuahua, and, in later years, joining her sons and grandsons in spirited games of World of Warcraft. She also worked as a waitress, where her warmth and humor made her a favorite among customers and coworkers alike. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Lina Daubert; her brother, Carl Smith; her mother-in-law, Nettie Doss; and her father-in-law, James Doss. 

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Willis Doss Sr.; her children, Malinda Oliver and husband Tony of Belle, Willis Doss Jr. and wife Cynthia of Rocky Mount, and William Doss and wife Angela of Belle and two sisters, Marlene Bennett and husband Jim of Mount Sterling and Vonda Owens of Bland. She was a proud grandmother to five grandsons and two granddaughters, and a great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

 Linda’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and music, a life lived with an open heart and a generous spirit. She will be remembered for her honesty, her humor, and the way she made everyone feel like family. 

A graveside service will be held at Old Bland Cemetery in Bland, Missouri, on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a woman whose song will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
