Larry E. Basham

Larry Eugene Basham, age 66, of Troy, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024.  

Larry was born June 18, 1957, in Rolla, a son to the late Fred James and Dororthy Virginia (Butler) Basham. 

Larry attended the Belle School System and had been employed as a sheet metal worker in the Troy and St. Louis area for over 25 years before retiring. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and holding fish fries for friends and family to enjoy. He had a love for dogs, riding motors cycles and driving fast cars. Larry enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a great sense of humor and liked playing pranks on friends and family. Gone to soon, Larry will be missed by his family and friends. 

Larry is survived by: one brother, Billy R. Basham of Belle; two sisters, Brenda Norfleet and her husband Don of Jefferson City and Lenda Buddemeyer and her husband Keith of Union; and two grandsons, Gage Riske and Gannon Wright as well as many extended family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Wright. Two brothers, Gary and Jim Basham. And a niece, Heather Benson. 

Services for Larry will be at a later date and will be announced by Sassmann’s Chapel.
