Judith Marie "Judy" Withouse passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013. She was 79 years old. Judy was born on September 2, 1933 in Bland, Missouri to Louis B. (Byron) and Verna Pasch Ritterbusch. On April 2, 1966 Judy was married to Clyde Withouse in Bland, Missouri. To this union one son was born, her greatest joy.
Surviving Judy is her husband of 46 years, Clyde, of the home, and son John Withouse and wife Danielle of Bland. There is 1 grandson, Tony Withouse of Bland. Preceding Judy in death were her parents and brother, Dale L. Ritterbusch.
Judy graduated from Bland High School in 1951. She worked for a short period of time as a typist in St. Louis. She attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, graduating in 1957. She then worked for State Farm Insurance in Columbia until she married Clyde. Judy also sold Avon products for many years, and greatly enjoyed doing so.
Judy was a lifelong member of the Bland Christian Church. She was an accomplished pianist and organist. Music was her passion and pride. She played for church services regularly for many years, and into the last year of her life. She taught Sunday School for many years, and served as bookkeeper for the church for 40 years. Judy also loved cooking, sewing, gardening, flowers, and bird watching. It brought Judy great joy to watch dozens of hummingbirds flock to the many feeders they put up over each summer.
Visitation for Judy will be Wednesday, February 13, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Sassmann's Chapel in Bland. Services will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 from Bland Christian Church in Bland at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Bland Union Cemetery.
