John F. Becker, age 87, of Belle passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at Frene Valley in Owensville.
John was born September 9, 1932, a son to the late John G. and Josephine (Berendden) Becker.
John had been an area resident for almost 30 years after moving from St. Louis where he had been employed as a Truck Driver for Yellow Trucking, Land Vatter Concrete, and Slay Transportation.
He attended St. Alexanders Catholic Church in Belle as well as Sacred Heart in Rich Fountain.
John was a musician and could play the Mandolin, Banjo, and Guitar. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating on the Gasconade, and reading magazines. John liked going to the local cafes to have coffee or lunch and visiting with his friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He will be missed greatly by his those that knew and loved him.
John is survived by: three sons, Jeff Becker of O’Fallon, Brian Becker of Affton, and Randy Becker of Crestwood; one daughter, Rita Becker of Affton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Gordon Becker and his wife Barb of Pacific; his ex-wife and friend, Virginia Catherine Becker as well as many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents. John was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Julia Becker and two sisters, Nanette Cancila and Helen Ostlund.
Private family services have been arranged and interment will be in the College Hill Cemetery.
