Jerry Lee Wiles of Vichy died Wednesday evening, August 3, 2011, at his home. He was 63. Jerry had been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
Jerry was born on November 22, 1947, in Waynesville. He is the son of Jasper and Genevieve Seymour Wiles. Jerry was married to Mary Ann Tuepker and together they have one son Jerod.
Surviving Jerry is his wife Mary Ann, his mother Genevieve Wiles, and his son Jerod with his wife Elizabeth and their children Blake and Nick. Also surviving Jerry is a brother Gary Wiles and a sister Kathy Muir.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father Jasper Wiles and a brother Mark Wiles.
Jerry graduated from the Belle High School in 1965. He joined the Laborer's Union 840 in Rolla and was a member of the union for 45 years.
Jerry like his father, Jasper, was an excellent marksman and avid hunter of turkey and deer and developed a passion for hunting coyotes. Jerry loved his dogs and was known to have some of the best running hounds around. For many years, Jerry was instrumental in organizing hunts in this area, killing as many as 64 coyotes in one year.
