Jeffrey Donald Moreland

Jeffrey Donald Moreland, 52, Belle, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at his home.

Jeff was born April 28, 1964, in Jefferson City. He is the son of Don Moreland, Belle, and Ann Bickel, Jefferson City. He was married June 30, 1995, in Jefferson City to Jo Lynn Dyke Moreland, who survives in Belle.

Jeff graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1984. He worked as a commercial and industrial mechanical insulator for more than 30 years. He was a 10-year member of the AFL-CIO International Union of Heat and Frost Insulator, Local 1.

Jeff loved outdoor activities whether that was hunting, fishing, baling hay, or tending to his livestock. He spent many Sundays watching NASCAR races.

Other survivors include: a son, Christopher (Jill) Moreland, California; a daughter, Amber Moreland, Belle; two grandsons, Beau and Kash Moreland, California; four brothers, Curt (Melody) Moreland, Jefferson City; Scott Moreland, Rolla; Brian (Chelsea) Moreland, California; and Tom Bickel, Jefferson City; grandmother, Dorma Lee Booker, Jefferson City; aunts, Pamela (Fred) Crouch, Kansas City, and Vera Bogler, Jefferson City; cousins, Deborah (David) Reinertsen; Denise (Cliff) Hancock; Tracy (Samantha) Bogler ; Jeanne Crouch (Barb Bamburg); Jennifer Crouch; in-laws John and Joyce Dyke; sister in-law Julie (Shannon) Andrews; and brother in-law Jim Dyke; and nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Roland and Delpha Moreland; maternal grandfather, Elgan Booker; and step-father, Gene Bickel.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 30, at Sassmann's Chapel, 207 Linn Avenue, Belle, MO, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
