Irene Ellen Rollins

Irene Ellen Rollins of Bland died Saturday morning, January 21,2012, in the Independence manor nursing home in Independence,Missouri. She was 90. Irene was born on November 14, 1921, in Wisconsin. She is the daughter of the late William and Florence Collins. On June 21, 1941, Irene was married to Ralph Rollins and to this union three children were born. Surviving Irene is a son Darrell with his wife Kay of Jefferson City, and two daughters Carolyn Ray of Lees Summit and Donna Gelvin with her husband G.W. of Independence. There are seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Irene is preceded in death by her husband Ralph who passed away on March 30, 2005. Also preceding Irene are all of her brothers and sisters Jean Ricke, Don Collins, Dorthy Helm, and Nellie Meyer. Irene and Ralph worked at the International Shoe Company in Bland. They were both members of the Bland First Baptist Church.
