Henry George Rehmert

Henry George Rehmert, Sr., age 75, of Owensville, passed away on July 8, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born on May 26, 1950, in Bland, a son to the late William Raymond and Esther Mary (Price) Rehmert.

Henry served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a longtime area resident. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Owensville.

Henry was employed at Chrysler in Fenton for 29 years where he was a lineman and served as a union representative. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger as well as playing baseball and basketball then in his later years playing softball. Henry was kind and fun loving and enjoyed his time with his family. He will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.

Henry is survived by: two sons, Gary Rehmert and his wife Amy of Belle and Henry Rehmert, Jr. of Belle; six grandchildren, Dakota, Garrik, Abel, Lani, Beckett, and Gatlin; one brother, Richard Rehmert and his wife Connie of Bland; three sisters, Marilyn Licklider and her husband Charles of Cuba, Betty Jo Koch and her husband Dennis of Owensville, Debbie Klein and her husband Doug of Bland; and two sisters-in-law, Carol Rehmert and Myrna Rehmert as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death one daughter Jerri Lynn Rehmert, five brothers Larry, Bill, Danny, Jim, and Dail Rehmert, two sisters, Clara Rehmert and Leona Shoemaker, sister-in-law, Shirley Rehmert, and one brother-in-law Oran Shoemaker.

Visitation for Henry will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Countryside Memorial Gardens with full military honors.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
