Harvey E. Rodrick

Harvey Esco Rodrick, of Belle, passed away on July 14, 2025.

He was born on February 23, 1936, in Martin County, Indiana, a son to the late Willard and Mabel (Survance) Rodrick.

He and his wife Orlen were together for over 62 years. Orlen survives of the home.

Harvey worked at the Gypsum Company after school until he was drafted into the Army. He was honorably discharged in 1964. After his time serving our country, Harvey worked in the oil fields until his retirement.

Harvey enjoyed hunting, pinochle, bingo, family reunions in Indiana, feeding his squirrel “white ears”, watching the Price is Right with his wife and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Orlen, Harvey is survived by 3 daughters: Dee Stocker and husband Brent (in heaven), Jeannie Daugherty and husband Rick, and Marilynn Miller and husband Jeff; one stepdaughter Lou Varner; grandchildren: Megan and husband Jordon, Richard and wife Hayle, Nick and wife Shauna, Kimberly, Tyler, Amber, Lacey, Elizabeth and husband JD, Eveada, and JT; and great grandchildren: Kaylee, Kyleigh. Nora, Pearl, Luke, Iris, James, Katie, Kourtney, Bryson, Nadia, and Kathryn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald; two sisters Marge and Kate; and one stepson Richard Varner.

Funeral services for Harvey will be conducted by grandson Tyler Miller at Bland Christian Church on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and funeral at 10:30 am with Veterans Honors. Followed by a meal in the fellowship hall.
