Gerald "Jerry" Aemisegger, age 71, of Bland passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Sisters of Mercy Hospital in Washington.

Jerry was born, at his parent's home, on August 28, 1943, in St. Louis, a son to the late Henry J. and Martha E.(Venton)Aemisegger.

He was a 1963 graduate from Central High School in St. Louis.

On January 26, 1963, Jerry was united in marriage to Marsha Palazzola in St. Louis. From this union, four children were born. Jerry and Marsha have been residents of the area since 1991 after moving from St. Louis.

Jerry was employed at Custom Printing in Owensville for 10 years and retired in 2001.

Jerry loved to garden. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, bee keeping, and watching westerns. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal and Pittsburg Steelers fan. His greatest love was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by those that knew him.

In addition to his spouse of 52 years Jerry is survived by: four children, Tammy Wolford of Bland, Steve Aemisegger and his girlfriend, Sabrina McGowan of Ava, IL, Mark Aemisegger and his wife Dawn of Bland, and Scott Aemisegger of Owensville; seven grandchildren, April Aemisegger, Sara Aemisegger, Andrew Bray, Brittany Aemisegger, Tabitha Durbin, Billy Benson, and Kaya McGowan; four great-grandchildren, Rylee Limberg, Jayden Aemisegger, Jordan Comer, and Harmony Comer; one sister, Darlene Shivers of Bourbon, and his favorite cat, Jade as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by: two brothers, Robert Aemisegger and Louis Aemisegger.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Sassmann's Chapel in Bland. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Perkins officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
