Fred A Jarvis

Fred A. Jarvis, age 78, of Dixon, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015, at his residence.

Fred was born on December 6, 1936, in Aud, a son to the late Gus and Laura (Wolfe) Jarvis.

Fred attended school in Chamois.

On May 13, 1974, he was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Sharp at the Spring Creek Baptist Church in Rolla. She survives at the home.

Fred was employed as a sheet metal worker for McDonnell Douglas until his retirement in 1991 with over 35 years of service.

Fred was a member of the Vichy Campground Church of God.

Fred enjoyed being outdoors either repairing things or just brush hogging on his Case tractor. He was known as "Mr. Fix It" and was very creative in building and repairing things.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, Fred is survived by: his five children, Fred Paul Jarvis of Columbia, Matthew Lee Jarvis and his wife, Barbara of Holts Summit, Elizabeth Oyadomari and her husband Marcus of Rolla; one brother, Floyd Albert Jarvis and his wife Ann of Belle; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Sassmann's Chapel in Belle. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Clarence Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Skaggs Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Vichy Campground Church of God.
