Emmit William Price

Emmit William Price of Edgefield, South Carolina, died Monday, July 5, 2010, in the University Hospital in Edgefield. Emmit was born on March 12, 1936, in Belle, Missouri. He is the son of the late Joe and Alice Hicks Price. Emmit attended the Belle High School. At an early age Emmit joined the United States Navy and served in the Navy for 20 years with tours in the South Pacific and Viet Nam. After the service Emmit was married to Rebecca McDonald. Becky and Emmit settled in Edgefield where they lived the rest of their lives.
Emmit is preceded in death by his wife in 2007. Also preceding Emmit is a brother Louis.
Surviving Emmit are two brothers Phillip of Springville, Tennessee, and Terry of Burlington, Iowa, and two sisters Naomi Allen of Florissant, Missouri, and Pansy Laycook of Gerald, Missouri.
