Donna Ridenhour, age 88, of Belle, Missouri, passed away on August 21, 2026, in Owensville, Missouri, two years to the day after the death of her son, Kirk Dean Ridebhour.
She was born on June 6, 1938, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Misouri to Christian and Sadie Danuser also of Belle.
She attended Belle High School and retired from Belle school district after over 20 years of service.
She married Donald C. Ridenhour in 1957 and shared 69 wonderful years together.
She loved to garden, decorate for holidays, involve herself in church activities, and spent a lot of her time with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was known in the Belle community for her kindness and sending cards for every occasion.
She is survived by: a daughter, Carla (Sue) Ridenhour; a daughter-in-law, Tina Ridenhour; grandchildren, Thomas Ridenhour, Sarah Ridenhour, Jacqueline Ridenhour and her significant other Corey Starkey, Jennifer Weston and husband Ryan Weston, and Elizabeth Ridenhour; great-grandchildren, Robert Ridenhour and fiancé Teagan Trainor, Alecia Ridenhour, Kael Ridenhour, Dalton Ridenhour, Bailey Ridennhour, Charles Lewis, Hunter Starkey, Hadley Buddemeyer, Oliver Starkey, Walker Weston, Sadie Starkey, and Cooper Weston; and a great-great granddaughter, Nova Ridenhour as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Furan, nieces Vicki and Vali Furan of Chicago, Ill, and a son, Kirk Dean Rodenhour. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Belle First Christian Church followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided at the First Christian Church following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your local Humane Society on her behalf.
