Donna F. Ridenhour

Donna F. Ridenhour, age 76, passed away in Belle, Missouri. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was filled with family, meaningful relationships, and a personality that was truly her own.

Donna was born on January 2, 1950, in Lanes Prairie, Missouri, to Alfred Phillips and Iva Jane Robertson. She attended Belle High School and graduated in 1967.

Donna was married twice during her life. Her first marriage was to Johnnie Smith, with whom she welcomed her two children. She later married Danny Ridenhour, affectionately known for his wild spirit. Although both marriages eventually came to an end, each was a chapter in Donna’s life and the family she cherished.

Throughout her career, Donna dedicated many years to the banking industry, working at many banks throughout the area. She later continued her career with the Missouri Department of Labor, where she eventually retired. Through her years of employment, Donna contributed to the communities she served and built connections along the way.

Faith was also a part of Donna’s life. She attended Belle Community Church and was baptized at Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Donna had a bubbly personality and a gift for making connections wherever she went. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Her kind heart and generous spirit were evident in the way she treated others. Donna was the type of person who would give someone her very last dollar if they needed it, always willing to help however she could. Her warmth, compassion, and outgoing nature made her memorable to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Donna was also passionate about politics and proudly held strong conservative beliefs. She was an enthusiastic supporter of Donald Trump and loved listening to political podcasts and keeping up with current political discussions. She never shied away from sharing her opinions, and her spirited conversations were a familiar part of her personality.

Above all, Donna cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy. She took great pride in watching her family grow and treasured the time and memories she shared with each generation. Her love for her family was unwavering, and the bond she shared with them will remain an important part of her legacy.

Donna is survived by her children, Malissa Hightower of Belle, Missouri, and Brad Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; her sisters, Linda Sue Hafley of Jefferson City, Missouri, Brenda (Roger) Lehnhoff of Columbia, Missouri, and Audrey Brown of Escalon, California; her grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Whitney Smith, Makalya Oberle, and Paige Usery; twelve great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way; her uncle, Elmer Robertson; and her special friend, Vicki Nelson. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Phillips and Iva Jane Robertson, and her brother, Donald Ray Phillips.
