Donna F. Buddemeyer, age 79, of Belle passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family. 

 

Donna was born April 3, 1944, in Rolla, a daughter to the late Victor J. and Delcie (Seig) Butler.

 

She was a lifelong area resident, a graduate of Belle High School and a member of the RLDS Church in Linn. 

 

Donna had been employed at both the Brown and International Shoe companies for over 30 years. She also worked at the Belle school in the lunchroom for a time. 

 

On June 17, 1961, she was united in marriage to Charlie Buddemeyer. From this union two sons were born. Although they divorced, they remained close friends.

 

Donna enjoyed keeping her yard looking nice, gardening, and canning what she gathered from the garden. She was very social and liked visiting with friends and family, playing Uno and other card games and going to yard sales. Donna was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking and baking as well as reading and doing crossword and word search books. She had a great sense of humor, was kind and giving, and was always one to help out someone in need. She was absolutely crazy about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her best times were spent with them and the rest of her family. Donna was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by her community as well as her family and friends. 

 

Donna is survived by: two sons Dwayne Buddemeyer of Bland and Carl Buddemeyer and his wife Melissa of Belle; eight grandchildren, Brock Buddemeyer and his wife Melody, Brittany Rehmert and her husband Tristan, Dillon Mapstone and his wife Danielle, Garit Kinsey and his wife Madeline, Travis Duke and his wife Sarah, Brandon White, Bradly White, and Jada Slayton and her husband William; twelve great-grandchildren, Shaddix, Leighton, Gracie, Scarlett, Leilani, Brantley, Atlas, Stetson, Kalia, Kaylie, Austin, and Parker; two brothers, Jerry Butler of Blackwater and Joey Butler and his wife Carol of Belle; two sisters, Linda Rogers and her husband Dan of Belle and Lorna Stogsdill of Rolla as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. 

 

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by five sisters Delpha Jones, Mary Woemmel, Norma Harris, Doris Altemeyer, and Ruth Party. Three brothers, Billy Butler, Bobby Butler, and Lonnie “Shadetree” Butler. One grandson, Charles “Toot” Buddemeyer, Jr. One nephew, Mathew Rogers. And one daughter-in-law, Christina Buddemeyer. 

 

Visitation for Donna will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Belle Restoration Branch. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m.
