Charlene Strope

Charlene Strope, age 90, of Rich Fountain passed away April 22, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

She was born September 9, 1935, a daughter to the late Clara (Jansen) and Lloyd Andrews.

On September 28, 2013 she was united in marriage to Francis Strope at the St. Alexander Catholic Church. Francis survives of their home.

Charlene is survived by her beloved husband Francis Strope. She was a loving mother to Diane (Michael), Tim, Lana (Ron), Brad (Shannon) and the late Linda . A caring babushka/grandma to Eli, Seth, Sean (Stephanine), Brandi, Jennifer, Caitlin (Richie), Caleb and the late Allen. Proud great grandma of Linda, Hunter, Hendrix, Xander, Isabella, Novella, Aurora, Breanna, Harley, and Faith. Proud great-great grandmother to Mabel, Vinessa, Ava, Emmanuel, Isaiah, Llanna, Unity, Olita, Phoenix, and Anthony. Sister to Bruce, Mary (the late Steve), & the late Judy and her husband Don.

Charlene was very active in her community. She was part of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary of the 4th degree, for the longest time was the secretary to Bland/ Belle Community Center 55+, involved with Odds & Ends & use to help out at The Pantry in Belle plus do home deliveries. She looked after a lot of people, and this matriarch will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Charlene will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at St. Alexanders Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A memorial mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Kane officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Michaels Cemetery near Bland.
