Carl William Daniels, Jr., age 87, of Belle, passed away on January 31, 2026 at Stonebridge of Owensville.
Carl was born on December 2, 1938 in St. Louis, a son to the late Carl William and Hazel (Adams) Daniels.
He was a 1956 graduate St. James High School and a longtime area resident. Carl was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle as well as a member of the Belle Masonic Lodge #373.
On July 21, 1989 he was united in marriage to Joanne Arnold at the Belle First Christian Church. Joanne preceded him in death on March 29, 2009.
Carl had been a pipe fitter and welder for 40 years and was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters local #562
Carl enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and tinkering and taking his 1964 Ford Galaxy to car shows. He like to read car magazines as well as Ad tracker to find the best deals. Carl was a jokester and storyteller and could B.S. with the best of them. Above all, Carl loved the time spent with his family and especially his grandkids and great-grandkids who he loved to spoil. He will be missed tremendously by those that knew and loved him.
Carl is survived by: five children, Carl “Skip” Daniels, III and his wife Connie of Holts Summit, Kimberly Maness of Hartsburg, Sandra Elrod of Rolla, Cynthia Cox of Belle, and Rebecca Levin and her husband Larry of Owensville; ten grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one on the way; one brother, Wayne Daniels of Springfield; and his favorite dog, Snoopy as well as many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife Joanne, Carl was preceded in death by one daughter Rebecca Peropat, one son William Lindell Alexander, and three siblings Gary Daniels, Debbie Daniels, and Cecila Dawson.
Visitation for Carl will be on February 3, 2026 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with interment in Liberty Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Liberty Cemetery.
