Calvin Edward Hafley

Calvin Edward Hafley of Belle died Wed, June 13, 2012, of a brief illness in the Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was 83. Calvin was born on Sept. 9, 1928, in Swiss. He is the son of the late Edward Joe Hafley and Martha Sue Triplett Hafley Cook. Calvin was joined in marriage to Dorothy Mitchem on May 23, 1959.
Surviving Calvin is his wife Dot, a son David Hafley, and a daughter Crystal Lueckenhoff with her husband Mark. Calvin's grand children are Kurt Hafley with his wife Libby and their children Cole and Abby, Kim Hafley Larimore with her husband Michael and their children Cameron and Conner. Kady Jo Hafley McKinney with her husband Will and their son Kayne, and Davey Hafley. Also surviving is Calvin's brother Danny Hafley and best friends Gene and Marlene Curry.
Calvin began working as a meat cutter at the Weber's Meat Market and Schaepperkotter's Store in Bland. His best jobs included many years as a meat cutter at Lort's Supermarket in Belle and 5 years at Grimco in Owensville.
Services for Calvin Hafley will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16,2012 at the Mt. Calvery Lutheran Church in Belle. Interment will be at the Bland Union Cemetery.
