April Diane Valley

April D. Valley, age 52, of Owensville passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

April was born May 28, 1970, in Hermann, a daughter to the late Delmar and Betty (Barracks) Limberg.

She was a lifelong area resident, a member of the Owensville First Baptist Church, and attended the Owensville school district.

On July 6, 1991, she was united in marriage to Ronald M. Valley at Belle city hall. Ronald survives of the home.

April had been employed at Brown Shoe for many years as well as waitressing at several restaurants on main street in Owensville.

April enjoyed playing bingo at the V.F.W. in Owensville as well as Licking, going to the casinos in St. Louis, and being outdoors. She liked rides in the side by side and collecting cans to sell and help buy Christmas presents for the grandchildren. She was always one to help out anyone in need. April loved horses, dancing, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed tremendously by those that knew and loved her.   

In addition to he husband of 32 years, April is survived by: one son, Ronald Valley, II of Owensville; one daughter, Rhonda Dicky of Bland; four grandchildren, Remi Rae Valley, Adison Diane Valley, Madison Kay Hinch, and Bradison Mark Valley; one brother, Elvis Limberg of Owensville; and three sisters, Darla Shockley and her husband Eddie of St. James, Tammy Limberg of Owensville, and Melinda Brewer and her husband James of Tipton as well as many other extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Megan Loretta Valley, one sister Melissa Dawn Limberg, and a special aunt, Darlene Gross.    

A Celebration of April’s life will be held on January 29th, 2023 at the Belle V.F.W. Hall beginning at 11:00 a.m.
