Alice Marie Lange

Alice Marie Lange a life long member of the Belle community died Sunday morning, September 27, 2009, at the age of 89. Alice was born on September 8, 1920, in Osage county. She is the daughter of the late Louis and Louise Gieck Mittelhauser. On May 16, 1942, Alice was married to Edwin Lange and to this union two sons were born.
Surviving Alice are her sons Glendon with his wife Margie and Burke with his wife Ruthie all of Belle. Also surviving are four grand children Eric Lange with his wife Alicia and their family Makayla, Brock, and Addison, Kisha Woodruff with her husband Mike and their family Payden and Glayden, Brian Lange with his wife Lisl, and Kenneth Lange and his wife Misty and their family due in December.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Edwin, a brother Raymond Mittelhauser and a sister Gladys Lange.
Alice began working at an early age in the International Shoe factory in Bland. She also worked in the Dahl store in Belle. Alice was a cook at the Belle schools. She retired as a nurse's aid after working for 20 years at the Charles E. Still hospital in Jefferson City.
Alice and Edwin were faithful members of the Koenig United Methodist Church.
